About Sukriti Kakkar
Sukriti Kakkar has become famous as the famous playback singer of India. Born on 8 May 1995 in Delhi, Sukriti Kakkar is the daughter of Sanjeev Kakkar, Nirmal Kakkar and also the twin sister of Prakriti Kakkar. She also has an elder sister named Aakriti Kakkar. And Sukriti was introduced to music from a very young age. She inherited her musical genes from her mother, who was trained in Hindustani classical music and also worked as a music teacher at the Bal Bharti Public School in Delhi. Sukriti did her schooling in two schools namely Springdales School and City International School.
She continued to study arts at Mithibai College and later obtained a BMM (Bachelor of Mass Media) degree from RD National College, Mumbai. Sukriti’s professional career in the music industry also started in the year 2013 when she sang the title song of “Boss” composed by Meet Brothers Anjaan. Sukriti sang another title song in the film “Hum Hain Rahi Kar Ke” in the same year. And in the same year they also performed together with their sister Prakriti Kakkar in the “Gotti Song” of the film “Nasha”.
The year 2014 also saw Sukriti’s release of “Mujhse Hogi Shurwat”, “Maine Rishvat Di” and “Shankar Mahadevan Academy”, the latter of which was nominated in the “Best Worker Anthem” category at the Honest Oscars. And this demonstration was also an initiative to address the issue of corruption prevailing during the year 2014. “Pehli Baar” from “Dil Dhadakne Do” was Sukriti’s first big hit, which also crossed 4 million views on YouTube in June 2015. For the first time, she got the song “Junglee PK Tight Hai” from Kapil Sharma starrer “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon”.
Sukriti Kakkar is also the voice behind Kapoor & Sons’ latest party anthem hit “Kar Gayi Chul”. And she sang this song with Badshah. Sukriti has worked with Mika Singh in MTV Unplugged. Sukriti has also featured in the album “Ganraj Adhiraj” which won GIMA in the year 2014. Sukriti’s collaboration with Being Indian Music has garnered over 7 lakh hits on YouTube.
