Praggnanandhaa will also lock horns with world No. 1 Magnus Carlsen in the first game of the FIDE World Cup on Tuesday (22nd August 2023). The match ended in a draw only after 35 overs. On 24 August, Praggnanandhaa lost to Magnus Carlsen and became the runner-up in the World Cup 2023.
