About Anupriya Goenka

Anupriya Goenka is an Indian film and television actress and also a famous commercial model. She was born in Lucknow and also moved to Mumbai to pursue her acting career. Even before moving to Mumbai, he studied at the Gyan Bharati School in Delhi and later at the Bhagat Singh College. She was a commerce graduate and was the face behind UPA’s Bharat Nirman campaign in 2013.

Anupriya has one brother and two elder sisters. Initially, she was helping her father in his apparel export business. Acting has always been her passion. And till one day she realized that she could do justice to theater and her corporate career. Director Pradeep Sarkar introduced her in an advertisement for a personal hygiene product. Since then till now there has been no looking back.

Anupriya has done many commercials for Federal Bank (Fedbook), Saavn, Bigg Boss of India, U-Kare (dktindia), Stayfree, Club Mahindra, Colgate and many more. She also made her debut in 2013 with the blockbuster Telugu film, “Portugadu”. The film is a remake of the Kannada film Govindaya Namah, and was also directed by Pawan Wadeyar. In the same year, she did a short film titled Worth the Kiss with Raj Singh Chowdhary. Also in 2014, she bagged another Telugu film titled Paathshala and Hindi comedy drama film, Bobby Jasoos directed by Mahi V Raghav.

Anupriya did an episode titled The Bullies and Bindass Ki Hai Aashiqui in MTV Webbed 2 along with Sumeet Sachdev. And she played the role of Sonam in the television series, “Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya 2” in 2014 alongside Parag Chadha. Recently, she also featured in Season 2 of “Bindas Halla Bol” as Avanti.

This 2015, Anupriya also auditioned for the latest advertisement of Myntra which went viral in the social media world. The ad turned out to be India’s first gay ad, which is also part of the ‘Bold is Beautiful’ series by popular clothing brand, Anouk. The ad shows her talking to her parents and guiding them to meet their soulmate (played by Neha Panda) for the first time.
